RecipeKick is now calling all Courageous Cooks (and Courageous Cooks in Training) to join us for COOK CAMP!
An ADULT summer camp that combines the thrill of culinary adventures with the excitement of an action-packed getaway. It's a chance to step out of your comfort zone, hang out with like-minded folks, and dive deep into the culinary world.
Cook Camp is for ANYONE up for outdoor cooking fun, grape stomping, truffle hunting, plein air painting, and MORE! Each of the six days is a new opportunity to make memories and expand your horizons, led by a team of super passionate instructors from all over the globe.
This ain't your typical 'campy' summer camp, no way! It's all about a low-key vibe, ditching recipes and going with the flow. Forget the canteen—there's an open bar, not to mention live music instead of those old singalongs. And when it comes to campfire treats, we're talking Croissant S'mores with homemade marshmallows. Yep, you read that right!
No tents and sleeping bags at this camp!
Check out our incredible accomodations, all nestled into the hills of Provence, France on the Bramafam campus. Home of culinary greats Julia Child & Simone Beck. This all-inclusive experience starts at $4000 per person. And can be attended by anyone, regardless of skill level. We curate classes based on your wants, needs, and skills! This is perfect for accomplished cooks, and those who’ve never boiled an egg!
What’s Included in Cook Camp?
This is a wallet free vacation once you get to campus. EVERYTHING is included except for your transportation to us on arrival day, and away from us on departure day. The only time you might want a wallet is to nab some souvenirs. But also…We’ll give you a few of those along the way too. ;)
Six nights lodging
Six nights lodging: We offer a wide range of choices! We have shared occupancy and private rooms in our high-end homey properties: La Peetch or Bramafam. All of the lodging options are Provençal in style—Bramafam is contemporary, while La Peetch leans towards classic elegance.
All Meals and Beverages
From a beautiful spread upon your arrival to BBQs in the outdoor kitchen, we've got you covered with three meals every day. Starting from your arrival day's dinner to breakfast on the day you bid us farewell. Oh, and we've got an open bar with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options.
All your activities & Excursions:
Similar to the summer camp experience, you'll have the chance to sign up for activities that match your interests, but rest assured, you'll get a minimum of one market visit and four cooking classes, or even six if you are feeling adventurous! In addition to three additional excursions! Our camp is all about embracing the "choose your own adventure" spirit.

We provide transportation for the activities and classes, ensuring you focus on yourself and the experience, and leave the logistics to us! Just get yourself to Bramafam and we’ll take care of the rest.
A year long Membership to our online school
Cook Camp includes a year-long membership to our online school! Where you can dig into your cooking dreams with chefs from all around the world, even before you set foot in France!
Camp-Centric Fun
Experience all the camp-centric fun without any of the cheesy stuff! We’ve got live music, cozy campfires, gourmet s'mores, games, and just maybe some karaoke if you're on your best behavior. And who knows, we might even throw in some kitchen color wars for good measure!

Makenna Held
Lead Camp Counselor!
Makenna is an avid camp attender. And spent their entire childhood going from camp to camp. Trying them all on for size. As an adult, she’s been a camp counselor at a myriad of adult summer camps. And now, is THRILLED to bring camp to Bramafam.
Makenna promises that you’ll leave Cook Camp feeling like you a) learned something; b) tried something new; and c) had a very darn good time while doing it.
Kendall Lane
Host, Head Chef at La Pitchoune
Kendall has been working in kitchens since she was a teenager. Before that, she used to outrun alligators on her bicycle en route to school on Sanibel Island. She studied at Cordon Bleu, mais oui! BUT she also bred pigs to make specific types of sausage and charcuterie. Suffice to say, her butchery skills are on point. She also worked as a sous chef in a Michelin-starred restaurant set up in an old church in rural France. She has plenty of knowledge and she’s really great at sharing it.
Kendall Lane and Makenna Held met on the first day of Le Cordon Bleu, and immediately there was a 'knowing' between them. For years, the two went their separate ways, until they joined forces to run the Courageous Cooking School together in 2021.
Chris Nylund
Cat Herder, Tender of the Dirt, and Small Talk Expert
Chris is an accidental foodie. He has wandered through his life reveling, often unknowingly, in the growing, making, and enjoyment around food. When he isn't running about to get you fresh pastries and tending to the herb garden at the La Pitchoune, he's a writer of words (education, history, music, and food are his favorite topics) and player/songwriter of music.
Prior to his globe trotting life with his wife, Makenna, he was a rock and roll librarian and curriculum development expert. (He still does both as a consultant on occasion). He is also a professional pursuer of curiosities, which makes him an excellent listener and conversationalist (at least in his own mind). If you need further proof that he’s a likable chap, our resident feline has taken a strong liking to him and, as we all know, cats never lie.
